Coming soon!

Bleu de Toi small custom balloon house
Bleu de Toi small custom car balloonWe have had such a fun time with all of the custom requests for different cute balloon guest books since our original flying house, flying love bug and other balloon designs came out. Bleu de Toi is the original creator of the guest book thumbprint balloon concept.
People have sent in pictures of their cars, subways and all sorts of things to be lifted away.

For some time we have been developing an exciting new product as the logical next step in our original guest book fingerprint balloon designs: couples!

Coming soon is an adorable line of couples (brides and grooms) clinging to the balloon strings for their guests to fill up as balloon thumbprints.

We will have a few different stances to choose from with minor elements of customization to make it truly yours.

Thanks for all of your support. Stay tuned for images of this exciting new product in the next couple of days.

Isnt this couple cute with their balloons?

Noah & Courtney's Paramount Ranch Wedding Featured on Green Wedding shoes

I love everything about Paramount Ranch here in LA in the Santa Monica Mountains. It was the site of my own wedding. It is a gorgeous location in the mountains and even has part of an old western town where they used to film movies and tv shows! It's so full of character. I loved making a tree for Noah and Courtney so much because we shared our wedding location in common. Her sweet sister ordered it for her not know that our wedding was where she had originally found out about Paramount Ranch. Here are bits of their rightful feature, via Green Wedding Shoes:

Thanks so much to the lovely and talented Matt + Angie Sloan of Sloan Photographers for sharing this gorgeous wedidng with GWS. Thanks to Courtney for sharing some details into their gorgeous day.

The inspiration for our wedding really just drew from our relationship and personal style. We really wanted it to feel like “us” and help tell our story which the venue helped a lot. We met at a Cowboy Bar and both love nature, film and vintage americana so when we came across Paramount Ranch we were instantly in love. The “western town” setting brought our relationship full-circle, and the character and quaint backdrops limited our need to spend a lot on decorations while also giving our guests fun photo-ops after the ceremony.
Since the venue is a state park, we had to be out before sunset, which during the fall is rather early. It was perfect for us though because we are both infamously obsessed with coffee, so we had a custom espresso bar after the ceremony, a gourmet picnic style lunch and didn’t have to rent heaters or lighting. We really wanted our guests to have plenty to do but still have a laid-back vibe so we had lawn games like horseshoes and croquet, which were a big hit and helped our guests mingle easily. The band we hired plays at a flea market that we attend monthly together (also where we shopped for many decor pieces) and they provided the perfect lively ambiance during the reception as well as a little nostalgia for us as a couple.

Polaroids are a shared love. Noah used them in his proposal and we used them for our guest book. I had a beautiful vintage print sketch book I’d owned for years and was waiting for the perfect occasion to use. We had our guests take polaroids of themselves and insert them into the book and it was very special to look through afterwards and see the creative photos, smiling faces and loving words all together.

BDT twisted oak guestbook featured in California wedding on SMP

via: Style Me Pretty

California Wedding by Heather Elizabeth Photography

This Northern California wedding by Heather Elizabeth Photography is a gold mine of inspiration, folks!  Where do I even begin?  The sweet doily place settings?  The kraft paper-covered tables?  The scrumptious candy cupboard?  The adorable flower girls?  It is all so perfect and pretty that I don’t even know where to start.  You will certainly need to set aside some time to spend in the full gallery because there are just too many little DIY details that should not be overlooked.  On that note, click here to see even more!

From Heather Elizabeth Photography… From the second I received Marisa and Anthony’s beautiful handmade Save the Date’s in the mail shortly after they booked me as their wedding photographer, I knew that this would  be one of those weddings I would always remember. I thought I was going to love it for all the details. For the beautiful location. For the gorgeous couple. It turned out to be so much more than that.
This wedding truly filled me with happiness to photograph it. It fills me with happiness to process the photos. I get to relive it by sharing it here now.   From the flower girls that played limbo in their sweet little dresses, to the special kids table at the reception decorated by Marisa (being a kindergarten teacher, she was an expert on what would make kids have fun), to the beautiful song sung by Anthony and Marisa’s friend who performed the ceremony. So many sweet handmade details that I could fill a whole blog with. The handmade candy and cupcake cupboards.  This wedding was a labor of love from all the family in celebration of Anthony and Marisa.
Thank you so much to Anthony and Marisa for trusting me with such an occasion. Events like this remind me how much I love what I do. You are so beautiful, inside and out.

Meghan and David's Lake Tahoe Wedding featured on Emmaline Bride

Gotta love Emmaline Bride! They have so many great resources for brides planning a spectacular wedding. Here is a feature they did on Meghan and David's Lake Tahoe wedding. We made a medium twisted oak tree drawing for their guestbook. They choose a fun color scheme of tattered rose pink, mustard seed yellow, spiced marmalade orange, peeled paint green and weathered wood blue for their tree.

Meghan and David were married on 10.10.10 at the Fitzhaven House overlooking spectacular Lake Tahoe. Their wedding day was intimately captured by Jaime Emery of Rose Street Studio and she fills us in on the details.
Jaime tells us, "They decided to celebrate 10 years together by getting married on 10.10.10. Coincidentally, I was also celebrating my 10th year in Lake Tahoe so it seemed to lay the groundwork for a really great connection and friendship with Meghan and David. They gave their guests, many of whom came all the way from New York and even New Zealand, tiny bottles of sand they collected from beaches in Lake Tahoe. The couple did an amazing job of designing and making all of their centerpieces, invitations, programs, and table names."
